The Nigerian Campus Enterprise Challenge is a practical learning platform for student entrepreneurs to showcase their ingenuity in simulated scenarios as it exists in the real world.
It is scheduled to kick off in the UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN in partnership with the CENTRE FOR ENTERPRISE AND INNOVATION,UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.
Prospective Participants (in teams) pick up entry forms from the 8th September, 2012, and apply to be part of the competition, at the University of Ibadan. Members of each team should not be more than four or less than three.
The competition begins with applicants answering previously published situational based questions. Participants are pruned down until they are 10 teams.
10 Teams enter another round (semi final) and are given various tasks, the top 5 teams emerge for the Finals.
Emerging teams are accommodated and trained in a two-day intensive boot camp on Revenue forecasting,identifying Marketing Opportunities,Negotiation,Conf
Each Team is afterwards given a wide range of products for them to make their investment decisions...they then hit the campus to make sales... show ingenuity &innovative approaches to marketing,closing out deals appropriately.
The competition continues on the fourth day and the teams further given exciting tasks to sell their product and introduce services. The team that proposes the best offer get a massive purchase order...while the other teams can only catch up by making high volume sales to room mates,classmates,friends e.t.c
The winning team is rewarded with a big grant to start and manage a business on campus.
Every participant is a winner as they go home with things unique, more so they all get to learn practical lessons that equips them for life.
It promises to be an EXPERIENCE.
